Wimbledon tickets are reportedly being sold for 10,140 pounds for the men's singles final next Sunday and two seats for the men's semifinals next Friday for the same amount.

One can also reportedly get two seats for 8,580 pounds to watch the men's quarterfinals on Centre Court on Wednesday and for 3,120 one get a pair of women's final tickets for next Saturday.

According to the Daily Star, Wimbledon organisers have tough rules that ban touts from reselling tickets but they allow rich customers, who buy debenture seats for the Championships, to buy tickets for a hefty profit.

Current debenture holders paid 27,750 pounds each to the All England Club for a guaranteed Centre Court seat for each day of the championships for five years that comes out to be 426.92 pounds per day.

Debenture tickets for 2016-2020 reportedly went on sale last month for 50,000 pounds each.

Under the rules tickets allocated to debenture holders are the only seats that can be transferred and sold on the open market.

The seats for the Wimbledon finals and semifinals were reportedly available at online ticket site Get Me In, part of Ticketmaster, the official agency for the tournament.

A spokesman for the All England Lawn Tennis Club said that debenture tickets are the only Wimbledon tickets which are freely tradable as the All England Lawn Tennis Club believes this is fair to those who have invested considerable sums in buying debentures.
