Hailing the greatness of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 99th birth anniversary, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday said she would need several rebirths to tell her mother-in-law's story.

Sonia Gandhi told media, "I would need a couple of lives, rebirth, to tell the whole story of Indira Gandhi."

Indira Gandhi was born on 19 November, 1917, in Allahabad to India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal and Kamala Nehru.

She served as Prime Minister from 1966 to 1977, and then again from 1980 until her assassination in 1984.

President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday launched a website devoted to her and set up by the Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust at Gandhi's former residence on 1, Safdarjung Road, here.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son and party vice president Rahul Gandhi were prominent among the guests present on the occasion.

President Mukherjee will also deliver the 'Indira Gandhi Centenary Lecture' organised by the Indira Gandhi Centenary Commemoration Committee today.

Indira Gandhi was India's third prime minister.
