Zayn Malik's mum sealed his decision to quit 1D

Zayn Malik, who reportedly had a series of meetings with industry bigwigs in order to discuss his decision to leave One Direction, has revealed that it was his mother's guidance that sealed the decision.

The 22-year-old singer asserted that his mother Trisha told him that the singer had made them proud and now he should follow his heart, the Mirror reported.

Sources revealed that Malik is incredibly close to his mother and she has been his guiding light and he respects her massively.

Sources continued that the singer's mother and his father raised him and his three sisters on very little money but they were always happy and wanted for nothing and that has made him realise that happiness was more important than fame and fortune.

Malik will be based in London and on party isle Ibiza where he will play a background role and shun the limelight.
