If you are one of the many who still get a smirk on their face as they walk up to the bartender to order the oxymoronic “vodka martini” with the special instruction of it being shaken and not stirred, then good news! You might be be able to spot the Bond-driven Aston Martin DB10 on-road and if you charm the owner enough, he/she might also actually let you drive it. You see, Aston Martin is auctioning off one of the ten Aston Martin DB10s, which were built for the 24th installment of Bond’s outing, Spectre.
The car underneath is an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, but is draped in a brand new carbon fiber body, which incorporates Aston’s latest design Philosophy. The sportscar flaunts a top speed of 305kmph, which is achieved with the help of a manual transmission.
What makes this car particularly special is the fact that over time DB10 is guaranteed to appreciate in value unlike any other ordinary sportscar. As this is collector’s item, regardless of its age, DB10 will become more than a sports commuter and eventually over time will achieve the pedestal of priceless art. Good investment opportunity, if there ever was one.
Now for the downside, because it is a movie memorabilia, DB10 will be priced in the ballpark of 10 to 15 crores, which happens to be a price range similar to that of the immensely exclusive One-77 hypercar and that it features a 7.3-liter V12.
So, all the resourceful men and women out there, please don on your Armani tuxedos, strap on those Omegas and tuck away that Walther PPK, to take this automotive legend out on a stroll. The flamethrower, however, might be an optional extra.
