Hyundai launched the 3rd Generation 2014 Santa Fe at Rs.26.30 lakhs

Hyundai has launched the new Santa Fe at the Delhi Motor Show. This is the third-generationSanta Fe  and second for the Indian car market. The final price list goes as: 

Prices: Rs 26.3 lakh (2WD MT),

27.33 lakh (2WD AT)  

Rs 29.25 lakh (4WD AT) (ex-showroom Delhi)

The new Santa Fe is powered by the 2.2-litre Diesel engine, which has been tweaked from the previous car. This produces 194bhp and comes with manual and automatic transmission options. ARAI figures for manual transmission is 14.7km/l and for AT is 13.1km/l. The Santa Fe is a new broad front grille with LED  and Xenon lights and even the rear gets LED. It gets smart key entry and SL touchscreen infotainment system.

It has three rows of seating for seven people and the front row is electrically adjustable. The second row has a 40:20:40 split and the third row is 50:50. It has rain sensors, rear manual curtain, cruise control, reverse parking camera. For safety it has ESP, six airbags, brake assist and hill start control as well. It also gets steer flex system which makes it easier to steer.

As far as interiors are concerned, Santa Fe has fluidic design based interiors entangled in beige color theme. It features several advanced and sophisticated features such as GPS device, leather seats, sunroof, Engine start-stop button etc.

On the other hand, the exteriors too have been moulded as the new Santa Fe gets a redesigned front bumper in which fog lamps are integrated elegantly well.

Hyundai has extended its wheelbase by 90mm, thereby offering more spaciousness inside the cabin and enabling three passengers to sit comfortably in the last row. It will be pitted against the likes of Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Captiva, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Nissan X-Trail and Ssangyong RX7 in the Indian auto industry.
