Mercedes-Benz teases new Generation C-Class- Video

German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has now teased the new generation C-Class, the W 205, which is expected to make its debut at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show in January. Though the vehicle has already been caught testing several times, the company has now officially released a teaser video, which reveals the design the new C-Class will carry.

The video reveals the new C-Class to have a 'high-class ambiance, a new touchpad control surface and a lightweight bodyshell'. Based on the new MRA (Mercedes Rear wheel drive Architecture), the next generation C-Class is likely to be 80kg lesser in weight than the existing C-Class. The 2014 S-Class is also being developed on the similar platform, though in the case of C-Class, it has been shortened.

The new generation C-Class is expected to carry a variety of engine options including a hybrid. And according to some media reports, the 2015 C-Class will also have 4MATIC all-wheel drive. Since the C-Class is one of the top-selling models for the Mercedes-Benz in India, we can expect the vehicle to enter our shores as well. Other than the C-Class, Mercedes is also planning to bring in the new S-Class next year.
