Porsche, the ultra luxury carmaker that launched the Panamera facelift, has now started taking bookings for the 2014 Panamera Turbo S in India. It is claimed to be the company's fastest and most powerful Panamera in its lineup.
The Porsche Panamera Turbo S develops around 50bhp more power than the Turbo, thanks to the two new turbochargers with larger compressors that increase air flow, while the charger gives additional oxygen into the combustion chambers at high speeds. It is powered by the 4.8-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that churns out a maximum power output of 562bhp and 800Nm of peak torque. It accelerates to 100kmph from stand still in mere 3.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 310kmph.
The Porsche Panamera Turbo S has three driving modes, named as Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. The power is transmitted to all the wheels through an active all-wheel drive system. The Panamera Turbo S runs on huge 20-inch alloys from the 911 Turbo II. The company hasn't released the exact pricing details of the sportscar, however we expect it to be priced around 20 lakh more than the Panamera Turbo, which is priced at Rs. 1.99 crore.
