Renault Launches Kwid at Rs 2.56 lac
French carmaker Renault has launched its highly anticipated entry-level offering, the Renault Kwid today. The Kwid was amongst the most awaited launch of 2015, due to many factors like its compact SUV-esque styling, competitive price of Rs 2.56 lac ( Ex-showroom, Delhi) and a mileage of 25.17 Kmpl.
Renault Kwid is also the first car in India which has a dedicated app that lets you browse through the car’s features, accessories and also gives you a 360 degree view of the car. Kwid can also be compared with the competition via the app and users can also book the car through it.

Powering the Kwid is an all-new 3 cylinder 799cc Petrol motor that Renault and Nissan have designed together. It generates 54 Bhp of power along with 72 Nm of Torque and is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. The car is based on an all-new CMF-A Platform which is very light because of which the Kwid gets a very good Power to Weight ratio.

Kwid is available in a total of 6 trims- Standard, RXE, RXE(O), RXL, RXT and RXT (O). The price distribution of variants is given below.
Renault Kwid vs Rivals
Kwid is Renault’s hope to increase its dominance in the country. The French automaker has equipped its entry-level hatchback with a lot of features like a segment first touchscreen infotainment system, sporty all-digital instrument cluster and a wide range of add-on accessories.

The Kwid might be the baby Renault but looks big and aggressive, courtesy to the borrowed elements from the Duster.
A 7- Inch Touch Screen MediaNAV system is the highlight of the interior along with a digital speedometer. Kwid also gets good boot space (300 Liters) and now becomes our country’s Most Fuel Efficient Petrol car (25.17 Kmpl).
Along with the app, Kwid also gets a Virtual Showroom which showcases live sales demonstration and objection handling portal. Users will get designated time-slots after which trained sales consultants will present a live video of the car online.
