Skoda Teases India bound Third-Gen Superb!

World Premiere to happen in Prague in Mid-February and will grace 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March, Indian debut late 2015 or early 2016

Skoda has teased the third generation Superb, the flagship sedan has completed final rounds of testing and is set for a global debut next year in mid-February in the home country - Prague, Czech Republic. According to Skoda, this Superb is ‘best Skoda ever’ and will sport a new design language similar to the Vision C concept company showcased this year. The new Superb will go on sale from mid-2015 in Europe and deliveries will start from autumn.

Speaking about the new Superb, Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland, CEO, Škoda, stated,”This latest generation of our flagship will appeal to new groups of customers in the business and private sector. The qualities of the Superb emphasise the brand’s values and point to the future of ŠKODA.”

The new Skoda Superb will based on VW’s MQB platform and will mature in terms of ‘space, innovative technology, driving dynamics and build quality’. Superb was always one of the spacious offering in its segment and Skoda says it will grow on space and proportions. Mechanically, Skoda did not reveal the engine lineup yet but hints ‘eco-friendliness, consumption and performance’. Expect the vehicle to get updated powertrain and is also expected to borrow motors from its sibling - 2015 VW Passat. Moreover, interiors are also likely to get design-cues from the Vision C concept’s dashboard. Like the Passat, Superb could also feature a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation cluster along with new-gen infotainment system.
