Mercedes has released a picture of its upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT3 intended for the track only and it looks like a modern version of Red Skull’s ride. The GT3 will be the successor to the SLS AMG GT3 and will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The car will be offered to racing teams and gets a wider track and a new griller than the “normal” GT. Other features include extreme aerodynamic styling like the big wing spoiler in the rear and the GT3 will be launched in 2016.
The Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be powered by the same 4.0-litre twin turbocharged V8 but of course tuned to produce more power. Mercedes-Benz would also be bringing a road-going version of the track only car but that would come later. The GT3 will go against the likes of Porsche 911 GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3, Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Audi R8 LMS ultra, Bentley Continental GT3, Dodge Viper GT3-R, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, Watch this space for more information and pictures.
