Gujarat State Petronet declines after reporting dismal Q4 numbers

Gujarat State Petronet declined 1.96% to Rs 115.25 at 15:25 IST on BSE after the company reported 26.64% fall in net profit to Rs 67.10 crore on 1.76% rise in total income to Rs 250.26 crore in the Q4 March 2015 over Q4 March 2014.

The result was announced after market hours on Friday, 22 May 2015.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 305.13 points or 1.09% at 27,652.37.

On BSE, so far 83,596 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 1.82 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 117.50 and low of Rs 111 so far during the day.

Gujarat State Petronet (GSPL) was set up to complement the efforts of GSPC. While GSPC harnesses and procures natural gas, GSPL is building the infrastructure that transmits the gas across the state of Gujarat and ultimately allows last-mile linkage to the end-user.
