DCW gained 4.83% to Rs 18.45 at 14:09 IST on BSE after net profit jumped 96% to Rs 17.62 crore on 2.3% rise in net sales to Rs 364.08 crore in Q4 March 2015 over Q4 March 2014.
The result was announced on Saturday, 23 May 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 273.51 points or 0.98% at 27,683.99
On BSE, so far 4.51 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 1.75 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 19.40 and a low of Rs 18.40 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 31.25 on 10 September 2014. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 14.85 on 16 February 2015.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 22 May 2015, falling 3.54% compared with Sensex's 0.24% rise. The scrip, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 0.28% as against Sensex's 4.36% fall.
The company has an equity capital of Rs 42.70 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
DCW is engaged in the manufacture and sale of chemicals.
