Hero MotoCorp shed 0.53% to Rs 2,510 at 14:35 IST on BSE after a bulk deal of 3.08 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 2,515.30 per share at 10:00 IST on BSE today, 14 December 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 49.36 points, or 0.2%, to 24,995.07
On BSE, so far 3.24 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 31,268 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 2,556 and a low of Rs 2,501.70 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 3,212 on 15 December 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 2,252 on 8 May 2015.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 11 December 2015, falling 4.58% compared with Sensex's 3.18% decline. The scrip, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 7.74% as against Sensex's 2.21% fall.
The large-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 39.94 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
Hero MotoCorp's net profit rose 1.1% to Rs 772.06 crore on 1.7% decline in net sales to Rs 6745.11 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014.
Hero MotoCorp is the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer in terms of production capacity.
