Kalpataru Power Transmission rose 3.73% to Rs 263.90 at 10:45 IST on BSE after the company announced that it secured new orders worth over Rs 781 crore.
The company made announcement after market hours yesterday, 30 September 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 117.84 points or 0.45% at 26,272.67.
On BSE, so far 20,837 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 21,659 shares in the past two weeks.
The stock hit a high of Rs 269.70 and a low of Rs 261.40 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 291.80 on 6 August 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 129 on 17 October 2014.
Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL) said it won transmission line projects in international geographies namely Malawi and Kuwait of approximately Rs 594 crore. It also won pipeline project of approximately Rs 187 crore from ONGC.
KPTL's net profit rose 15.6% to Rs 48.41 crore on 10.2% rise in total income to Rs 1183 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.
KPTL is a turnkey player in power, infrastructure and asset creation.
