SBI, RIL and Aurobindo Pharma top traded stock futures in NSE's F&O segment.
The Nifty February 2020 futures were at 12,083.25, a discount of 3.15 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 12,086.40 in the cash market.In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index was down 51.55 points or 0.42% to 12,086.40.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 8.06 lakh crore compared with Rs 35.44 lakh crore reported in the previous session.
The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, declined 0.05% to 13.7725.
On the options front, the Nifty option chain for 27 February 2020 expiry showed maximum call open interest (OI) of 26.73 lakh contracts at the 12,500 strike price. Maximum put OI of 31.87 lakh contracts was seen at 12,000 strike price.
The option chain indicates that Nifty will hover between 12,000 and 12,500 in the February 2020 series.
State Bank of India (SBI), Reliance Industries (RIL) and Aurobindo Pharma were top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE for February expiry.
SBI February 2020 futures were at 320.85, compared with spot closing price of 319.80. RIL February 2020 futures were at 1,435.35, compared with spot closing price of 1432. Aurobindo Pharma February 2020 futures were at 543.35, compared with spot closing price of 542.80.
