Turnover declines
Nifty May 2013 futures were at 5857.10, at a premium of 20.20 points over spot closing of 5836.90. Nifty April 2013 futures were at 5841.60, near spot closing. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 212854.42 crore from Rs 215486.12 crore on Monday, 22 April 2013.
State Bank of India (SBI) April 2013 futures were at 2288.85, near spot closing of 2287.10.
Reliance Communications April 2013 futures were at 94.40, near spot closing of 94.10.
HDFC Bank April 2013 futures were at 686.50, near spot closing of 685.35.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty inched up 2.50 points or 0.04% to settle at 5,836.90, its highest closing level since 15 March 2013.
The April 2013 derivatives contracts expire on Thursday, 25 April 2013.
