Turnover in the F&O segment spurts
The Nifty October 2018 futures traded at 10,241.50, a premium of 16.75 points from the Nifty's closing of 10,224.75 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was reported at Rs 13.33 lakh crore, higher than Rs 9.82 lakh crore in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 77.95 points or 0.77% to settle at 10,224.75.
Bajaj Finance, Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
Bajaj Finance October 2018 futures traded at 2,317, at a discount over spot closing price of 2,332.70. Reliance Industries October 2018 futures traded at 1,050, at a premium over spot closing price of 1,049. ICICI Bank October 2018 futures traded at 322.05, at a premium over spot closing price of 321.95.
The October 2018 F&O contracts will expire tomorrow, 25 October 2018.
