Nifty March futures trade at discount

The Nifty March 2018 futures traded at 10423, at a discount of 3.85 points from Nifty's spot closing of 10426.85 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment increased to Rs 8.95 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 5.50 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 5.45 points or 0.05% to settle at 10,426.85.

TCS, State Bank of India, Bank of India, Tata Steel and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. TCS March 2018 futures traded at 2902.50, at a premium from spot closing of 2886.10. State Bank of India March 2018 futures traded at 255.35, at a premium from spot closing of 254.10.

Bank of India March 2018 futures traded at 102.25, at a premium from spot closing of 101.80. Tata Steel March 2018 futures traded at 627.50, at a discount from spot closing of 627.95. ICICI Bank March 2018 futures traded at 305.35, at a premium from spot closing of 304.85.

The March 2018 F&O contracts expire on 28 March 2018.
