Volumes jump at Alkem Laboratories counter

City Union Bank, Akzo Nobel India, Titan Company and Lyka Labs are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 6 November 2017.

Alkem Laboratories clocked volume of 32,000 shares by 13:49 IST on BSE, a 32.55-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock rose 1.99% at Rs 1,953.

City Union Bank notched up volume of 3.54 lakh shares, a 18.61-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 19,000 shares. The stock lost 0.77% at Rs 162.

Akzo Nobel India saw volume of 36,000 shares, a 18.29-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2,000 shares. The stock fell 0.39% at Rs 1,852.10.

Titan Company clocked volume of 12.20 lakh shares, a 14.56-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 84,000 shares. The stock jumped 17.3% at Rs 773.50 after consolidated net profit surged 67.4% to Rs 277.93 crore on 29.6% growth in net sales to Rs 3473.07 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.

Lyka Labs saw volume of 7.99 lakh shares, a 12.58-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 64,000 shares. The stock surged 14.03% at Rs 67.85.
