100 from Odisha still stranded in Uttarakhand

At least 100 pilgrims from Odisha are still stranded in flood-hit Uttarakhand while 151 others have managed to return, an official said here Saturday.

"Over 100 people from the state are stranded at Badrinath. Steps are being taken for their early evacuation," an official of the state's special relief commissioner office here told IANS.

Some 151 pilgrims from Odisha, who were stranded in Uttarakhand due flash floods and landslides, have been rescued. Of them, 112 people are on their way to the state while some have already returned, he said.
