At least 12 children were seriously injured on Saturday when the roof of an Anganwadi centre collapsed at a village in Bihar's Madhubani district, police said.
The roof of Kakrol Anganwadi centre in Madhubani, about 200 km from here, collapsed injuring 12 children. "All the children were admitted to a hospital for treatment," a police official said.
According to police officials, the condition of five of the injured children was critical.
Following the incident, parents of hundreds of children staged a protest and demanded proper treatment and compensation to all the injured.
