At least 20 students were hurt when a large tree crashed in the compound of a school in Kapde-Burke village here on Wednesday morning, officials said.
The incident occurred at the Vardayani Secondary School when the children had assembled for morning mass prayer. Raigad district has been lashed by heavy rains and stormy weather.
The injured children, including two reported to be in a serious condition, were rushed to hospitals for treatment, police said.
