Two youths were killed and a third was seriously injured on Friday after they allegedly jumped off a moving train in Punjab's Mansa district, police said.
The youths, according to the police, were drug addicts and were under the influence of drugs when they jumped from the train.
The victims hailed from Bathinda district. Those killed have been identified as Baggi and Deepu Singh. The third, Gurpreet Singh, was admitted to the civil hospital at Mansa.
They jumped from the Abha Toofan Express near Bareta town.
Government Railway Police officials said that the youths jumped from the train on seeing police personnel on board. However, there were allegations that the police forced the youth to jump from the moving train.
The police is investigating the incident.
