Interpretation is not just a matter of words, it involves providing clarity arounfd a culture. An upcoming festival here will give knowledge of various dialects which are translated or will be interpreted in not so distant future.
The day-long celebration, "Apeejay Language Festival", devoted to the universe of translations at Oxford Bookstore, will see a participation from authors and publishers of Hindi, English, Spanish, French and Urdu books like Vani Prakashan, Cerventes, Institut Francais, Westland Books, Hindustaani Awaaz and many others.
The event on April 29 is expected to commend to the quintessential spirit of various known as well as unknown languages.
It will draw in, an intellectual group of onlookers with sessions on different points with interest from famous senior and youthful authors, publishers, artists and specialists, the organisers said in a statement released on Friday.
The celebration will begin with a session "Yeh Dil Mange More" wherein the author of "The Zoya Factor", "Battle of Bittora" and "Baz", Anuja Chauhan will discuss the interpretations of her books, they said.
It will be taken ahead by all the more fascinating sessions like "Urdu into English: What readers want" a talk with prominent gathering of publishers clarifying the requirements of ardent readers and their requests which is a need to be satisfied.
"Unscripted: The dynamics of Oral Traditions" will be founded on the overlooked dialects and other tribal or rural languages which are either never documented or are still to be known.
The festival will also have the launch of a French book, "Incarnat" that has been translated into English.
It will be concluded by the Hindi translated interlude of a Spanish Play, "Biscay Ka Behroopiya" to be staged by Octave Foundation and melodic execution by famous traditional entertainer Ujwal Nagar.
