West Bengal Finance and Industries Minister Amit Mitra was admitted to a private medical facility on Tuesday after he complained of uneasiness.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee confirmed Mitra's indisposition, but said he was fine now.
"He is sick. He has been hospitalised. He is fine now," Banerjee told the media.
The Belle Vue Clinic did nto give details of Mitra's indisposition, but said he was undergoing medical tests.
The 68-year-old minister was likely to be released on Thursday, a hospital spokesperson said.
