Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel Monday extended her best wishes to Narendra Modi on being sworn in as India's 14th prime minister.
"Anandiben Patel conveyed her wishes to the prime minister of India. She exuded confidence that Modi will take the country to the new path of good governance and development, actualising the motto of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat'," said a statement issued by her office.
According to the statement, Patel was hopeful that Gujarat would receive Modi's continued guidance for its "developmental journey".
Patel also conveyed her good wishes to the newly-appointed council of ministers.
