BJP leader Uma Bharti Monday tweeted she has been given the water resources and Ganga cleaning ministry.
"As a cabinet minister, have got the ministry of water resources and Ganga cleaning," Bharti tweeted minutes after she took oath as minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet.
The Bharatiya Janata Party leader had launched the Ganga cleaning project in Ghaziabad in 2011, while she was in charge of Uttar Pradesh.
Prime Minister Modi had promised to clean the river during his poll campaign in Varanasi from where he fought and won the Lok Sabha election.
