Actor Ankit Gera, best known for his roles in shows like "Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya", "Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke" and "Santoshi Maa", has been roped in to play a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) in the upcoming TV show "Agnifera".
"Agnifera" will tell the story of two starkly opposite female protagonists -- a lawmaker and a lawbreaker. And Ankit will be seen as Anurag.
"The concept of 'Agnifera' is quite unusual from what we have seen on television so far. Also the fact that I will have two women vying for my attention. That's why I agreed to do the show," Ankit said in a statement.
"I play the role of Anurag, who is an MBA, from London. Having studied abroad, he is very sophisticated and smart. He is extremely pampered by his family and is also very impulsive with his decisions. He is stubborn by nature and used to having his own way in most situations," he added.
The show will be aired on &TV starting from March 20.

Jay Bhanushali replaces Sugandha Mishra on TV show
Actor Jay Bhanushali has replaced comedienne Sugandha Mishra as the host of popular singing reality show "The Voice India Season 2" for its upcoming finale episode.
Sugandha, who co-hosted the show alongside Gunjan Utreja, will be travelling abroad during the time of the finale episode.
The makers of the show decided to extend it by a week. Since Sugandha had prior commitment on the specific date, the makers roped in Jay as Sugandha's replacement.
"I will be in Australia during the grand finale of 'The Voice India'. It had been decided long back that we would shoot the finale on March 5, but unfortunately it has been pushed by one week to March 12. I won't be there and hence will immensely miss it," Sugandha said in a statement.
Now the finale episode will be co-hosted by Jay and Gunjan.
