Argentina booked their spot in the Rio 2016 Paralympic football tournament by finishing runners-up at the Blind Football World Championships here.

The 'Albiceleste' lost Monday's final 0-1 to arch rivals Brazil, who won their fourth world title in the five-a-side game. Brazil had already secured a place at the Paralympics as tournament hosts which led Argentina to qualified despite losing, reports Xinhua.

A further six berths will be decided in continental qualifiers next year.
