Indian athlete Ashwini Akkunji failed to qualify for the women's 400 metres hurdles final at the Commonwealth Games here Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Ashwini could only manage to finish fifth out of eight starters in the heat, completing the race in 58.75 seconds.
Jamaica's Janieve Russell topped their group heat in 56.18 seconds to qualify for the finals at the Hampden Park Stadium.
