Indian Badminton League (IBL) franchise Awadhe Warriors named Vinay Kumar Singh their Under-19 player Friday.
The tournament's policy makes it mandatory for every franchise to include one promising Under-19 Indian shuttler in addition to the 10 picked at the players' auction. Vinay was picked by the Warriors from their catchment area to complete the team's player list.
Vinay has represented India at the Badminton Asia Youth Championships in boys and mixed doubles in Malaysia in July. He was also the runner-up at the All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament in Kochi in mixed doubles category.
