Barcelona defender Jeremy Mathieu will not play in the Catalan football giants' La Liga clash against Valencia on Saturday after the French international sustained a strain in his right thigh.
Mathieu, who in Wednesday's Copa del Rey match withdrew in discomfort ten minutes before the end, has been subjected to various tests on Thursday morning that confirmed the 32-year-old has not suffered a fracture but has an acute injury of the muscle in his thigh, reports Efe.
Besides Mathieu, the team's other two injured players, defender Douglas Pereira and midfielder Rafinha, did not exercise in the practice session.
Apart from those available, Barcelona Juvenil A player Korean Seung Ho Paik also participated in this session.
