Hamburg striker Heung Min Son will join Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year deal, Leverkusen said on its official homepage.
After three years and twenty goals in 73 appearances, the South Korean international moved from Hamburg to slip Leverkusen's jersey on until 2018, reports Xinhua.
"Heung Min Son is exactly the type of player we were looking for our young squad. He is fast, versatile, technically gifted and has a great shot. He will help us to achieve our objectives in the Bundesliga, German Cup and UEFA Champions League," Leverkusen director of sports Rudi Voeller stated on the club's website Thursday.
Both sides agreed to keep silence about further contract details. The 20-year-old Werkself new arrival is since 2010 part of the South Korea national soccer team to score two goals in 15 appearances.
Leverkusen completed the season on third position, behind Dortmund and treble winner Bayern, to ensure a berth at the UEFA Champions League.
