Dozens of flights in Beijing have been cancelled following the first snowfall of the season, authorities said on Monday.

The cold front, which arrived in the Chinese capital this week, has brought with it the lowest temperatures during this period in the last 30 years, Efe news reported.

Beijing's municipal administration has suspended services on 19 bus routes and closed some sections of highways, connecting the heart of the city with the suburbs.

According to forecast, temperatures will continue falling until Wednesday, with a high of minus 2 degrees Celsius.
