Tennis legend Billie Jean King lauded the women's singles semifinal clash between Sabine Lisicki and Agnieszka Radwanska, which the former won, at Wimbledon here Thursday.
"Radwanska, Lisicki semi-final at Wimbledon absolutely smashing. Congrats to Lisicki for getting to the finals of her first major," tweeted the 69-year-old King.
Seeded 24th Lisicki upset fourth seed and last year's finalist Radwanska of Poland to reach the final. The German girl won 6-4, 2-6, 9-7 on the Centre Court and will face 2007 runner-up Marion Bartoli for the lone grass court major title Saturday.
American King is a former world No.1 who won 39 Grand Slam titles, including 12 singles, 16 women's doubles, and 11 mixed doubles during her illustrious career.
