Blake Shelton turns to alcohol after split

Singer Blake Shelton is allegedly showing troubled behaviour after his split from his wife Miranda Lambert in late July.

According to In Touch magazine, the coach of "The Voice" was "doing shots of tequila non-stop and partied with strippers" during a friend's bachelor party in Cancun, Mexico over the weekend, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"(Blake) was doing shots of tequila non-stop and partied with strippers all weekend," a source told the magazine before adding that "things got more and more wild each day he was there."

One night, the country singer and his friends went to a local strip club. "They were in the mood to party, and they did," said the source.

Later on, he returned to the hotel with two women. "He was taking turns kissing them while he walked through the lobby carrying two fresh bottles of tequila," the source explained.

"Then they went up to his suite, got into the hot tub on the balcony and did tequila shots. Blake was kissing both girls there before they went into the bedroom for the night."

He has reportedly changed after his split from his former wife. During their marriage, "(Miranda) kept Blake grounded. She was his voice of reason. But now that he's single, he's free-falling to a very bad place," said another source. "Of course, he's always liked to drink a lot, but now his alcohol consumption has skyrocketed."

His friends and colleagues have all urged him to seek help. "They want him to take some time out and spend it in rehab," the second source said. "But Blake insists throwing himself into the new season of 'The Voice' is the best distraction and all he needs."
