Boca Juniors defeated Colon from Santa Fe 2-0 at La Bombonera Stadium here to cut the gap to just three points to Argentine football league leaders Newell's Old Boys.

Boca's Emmanuel Gigliotti scored in the 18th minute Friday, continuing a seven-game scoring streak, while Juan Manuel Martinez scored just two minutes later, taking the team's total points tally to 24 points, reports Xinhua.
