A boy died and another child suffered critical injuries when the wall of a garbage dump collapsed here Sunday afternoon, police said.
The incident was reported around 1 p.m. from the Seemapuri area in east Delhi.
Mursalim and his friend Sohail, both 8, were trapped under the debris of the garbage wall.
"A Delhi Fire Service team evacuated both the children from the debris but Mursalim succumbed to his injuries at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital while Suhail is being treated and stated to be critical," said a police officer.
