China's top seed Chen Long retained his crown after beating Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei in straight games at the badminton World Championships here on Sunday.
The 32-year-old Lee was seeking his first World Championship title but could not unsettle the World No.2, who stormed to a 21-14, 21-17 victory in just over an hour, reports Xinhua.
Lee, who entered the competition unseeded after returning from an eight-month doping ban, had to settle for his fourth consecutive silver medal.
With Chen Long's victory, China pocketed two titles in the 22nd World Championships. The other one was gained by the No.1 pairing Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei in mixed doubles. They defeated compatriots and No.4 Liu Cheng and Bao Yixin in the final.
