Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia took just an hour to oust Romanai's Simona Halep, advancing to the last four of the Australian Open here Wednesday.

The Slovakian stormed into only her second Grand Slam semifinals by ending the dreams of 11th seed Simona Halep in straight sets 6-3, 6-0, reports Xinhua.

The Slovak, who beat Maria Shaparova in the fourth round, is now in her second career Grand Slam semis in 26 attempts, with the last one coming at the French Open in 2009.
