It was a partly cloudy day Tuesday in the national capital with the maximum temperature settling at 39 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. The Met office has forecast similar weather Wednesday.
"The sky will remain cloudy Wednesday and thundery conditions could occur in some part of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 39 and 27 degrees, respectively.
Tuesday's minimum temperature was recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
Monday's maximum temperature was recorded at 38.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 28.9 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season. There was light rainfall in some parts of the city.
