It was a cold Friday in Delhi as the maximum temperature settled four notches below the season's average at 16.3 degrees Celsius. Dense fog again affected the movement of trains -- but air services operated on schedule.
According to the Met Office, the visibility dropped to 500 metres at 8.30 a.m. Friday, delaying over 50 trains.
An official of the Northern Railway said 42 trains coming to the city were late, while 13 trains departing from Delhi were rescheduled.
There was no change in flight schedules, the IGI airport said in a statement.
People would not get any respite from cold Saturday, the Met Office said.
"There will be dense fog tomorrow (Saturday) morning and the sky during the day will be partly cloudy. Fog may return in the evening," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 17 and 7 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Friday's minimum temperature settled one notch below the season's average at 6.8 degrees Celsius.
The day's maximum humidity was 94 percent.
Thursday's maximum temperature was recorded six notches below the season's average at 14.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 7.2 degrees Celsius -- average for the season.
