Cross-LoC bus service cancelled due to bad weather

The "Karvan-e-Aman" (Peace Bus Service) between parts of divided Jammu and Kashmir was cancelled on Monday due to bad weather, an official said.

"The Karvan-e-Aman bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad was cancelled today (Monday) due to bad weather as there have been a number landslides on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road on the Pakistani side of the line of control (LoC)," a senior official of the Jammu and Kashmir administration told IANS here.

The peace bus service was started in 2005 between Indian and Pakistani administered parts of Jammu and Kashmir to facilitate reunion of divided families.
