TV actress Deepika Singh, who plays Sandhya in popular show "Diya Aur Baati Hum", was taken by surprise when she visited the sets of dance reality show "Nach Baliye 6". Her 'skills' were put to the test.

Deepika's character in "Diya Aur Baati Hum" is about to start her IPS training, and so, the actress had to showcase her physical strength by breaking a mountain of tiles.

The tiles had an additional element of fire which made them even more difficult to be broken. Actor Gurmeet Choudhary, a "Nach Baliye 6" contestant, stepped in to help her out.

While the actor had a minor injury, Deepika managed to make a clean sweep in the first attempt.

"I had never attempted anything like this before and it was indeed a difficult task to perform. Gurmeet was more confident and helped me perform the stunt correctly. All I can say is that it is not going to be an easy task taking the IPS training ahead, but I am geared up," Deepika said in a statement.

The "Nach Baliye 6" episode, featuring Deepika, will be aired this weekend.

Double century for 'Saraswatichandra'

TV show "Saraswatichandra", which is based on Govardhanram Madhavram Tripathi's Gujarati novel of the same name, completed 200 episodes Thursday. Its lead actor Gautam Rode says it's been a "great journey".

"Saraswatichandra" is a classic love story. The novel was brought out over a period of 15 years with the first volume being published in 1887 and the fourth one in 1902.

Gautam is overwhelmed with the completion of 200 episodes of the show.

"Hello friends, 'Saraswatichandra' will complete 200 episodes today. It has been a great journey with all of you," Gautam tweeted.

Aired on Star Plus, the show was launched by director Sanjay Leela's banner Sanjay Leela Bhansali Films Pvt Ltd., but later, Sphereorigins Mutivision Pvt Ltd took over the production rights.
