Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Monday inaugurated the remaining portion of Magenta Line which runs from Kalkaji Mandir to Janakpuri West station.
With the opening of the 25.6-km section on Tuesday for public, the entire Magenta Line will become operational, connecting Botanical Garden in Noida with Janakpuri in west Delhi.
The section of the line connecting Botanical Garden with Kalkaji Mandir was opened last December.
Using the line, commuters will be able to reduce travel time between Noida and Gurugram to 50 minutes from the current over 90 minutes.
