Authorities in China's Henan province will provide free home education services to severely disabled children.

Children between the age of six and 14, who are intellectually capable of attending lessons, will be eligible for free education at home, Xinhua cited a circular issued by the authorities as saying.

They will be provided classes at home, in recovery facilities or orphanages two times in a week.

Authorities said they would spend a minimum of 6,000 yuan ($924) on education of each of the severly disabled children in 2015.
