A 43-year-old drug trafficker has been arrested here and eight kg charas, with a value of Rs.40 lakh in the international market, seized from his possession, Delhi Police said on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Amit Bhatnagar from an area near Civil Lines on Thursday.
The accused, who originally hails from Delhi's Rajouri Garden, is now settled in Nepal, Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Yadav said, adding that a first information report was registered against him.
He said Bhatnagar initially started selling auto spare parts in Nepal, where he met drug peddler Beer Bahadur and got into drug trafficking.
