Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said high quality fake currency acts as oxygen for terrorism and hailed the NIA for curbing the fake currency racket across the country.
"High quality fake currency contributes to rise of terrorism," Singh said here after inaugurating the new headquarters of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
He said: "High quality fake currencies act as oxygen for terrorism."
Rajnath also praised various NIA initiatives to check circulation of fake currency in the country.
Of the total 166 cases, the NIA is investigating 41 cases of terror financing and fake currency.
