Fiorentina are considering a move for former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato.
The 25-year-old has scored 12 goals in 40 matches for Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo this season, reports Xinhua.
He is being touted as the ideal candidate to reinforce the Italian club's attack during the January transfer window, according to Brazilian news portal Terra.
The move could hinge on whether Fiorentina decide to sell Slovenia international midfielder Josip Ilicic, who has been linked to Torino and Sampdoria.
Pato joined Brazilian giants Corinthians from AC Milan two years ago for 15 million euros.
He managed just 16 goals in 63 matches at his new club before joining Sao Paulo on a two-year loan deal in February.
