As many as 32 people, including the manager and employees of the Imperial Club here, were arrested for gambling, police said on Friday.
Police also seized Rs 6.5 lakh used for gambling in the club.
Acting on a tip-off, the anti-rowdy squad of Kolkata police's detective department raided the club located at central part of the city at around midnight on Thursday and found enough evidence to conclude that the club was running a gambling racket in the veil of card games like poker, police said.
"We have also seized numerous gambling chips worth Rs 55 lakh and incriminating transaction documents from here," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Vishal Garg.
